Job Summary

Property Underwriting role in Head Office. The candidate is required to perform underwriting responsibilities and attend enqiries/referrals from Branches‘ Underwriters nationwide.

 

Key responsibilities

·  To guide and provide technical support to Branches nationwide in Commercial Business.
·  To review and underwrite risk in accordance to Company’s risk appetite and guideline.
·  To monitor and review Referred Risks exceeding Branches‘ underwriting authority, and Declined Risk.
·  To upkeep record of underwriting info obtained, decision and referrals made for future note and audit purposes.
·  To provide feedback for improvement based on day to day interactions with the Branches.
·  To collaborate with other departments when required on sales, claims, risk management and governance matters.
·  To undertake any other responsibilities, duties or projects if any as assigned by the Head of Department

 

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Laws, Engineering, Actuarial; or Diploma in Insurance by Malaysian Insurance Institute or equivalent
·  Minimum 3 years working experience in the Industry
·  Team player, positive mental attitude, willingness to learn and embrace Company’s underwriting guideline, philosophy and culture
·  Familiarity with Contract Act, Uniform Building By-Laws, Occupational Safety & Health Act and/or Energy Commission Act is a plus
