Position summary & responsibilities

The Innovation &European sustainability covers sustainability & innovation topics at PIMCO Prime Real Estate regionally (Europe) and globally, respectively.

The internship position is within Global Innovation & European Development team in Paris.

Key functions of the department:

• Prepare the assets for future challenges by defining and implementing strategies for sustainable development, digitalization, and smart buildings.

• Define guidelines to enhance portfolio resilience and asset attractiveness, reducing obsolescence and maximizing portfolio financial performance through product standardization starting with office assets

• Via a dedicated Data Asset Manager collect, structure and analyze data related to buildings operation and the performance of operators

Description of the mission

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be involved in the group`s strategic approach to Innovation, Digitalization and Sustainability. You will perform this internship in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment and will be working on challenging strategic projects with global reach within the real estate investment & asset management practice linked to:

• Data analytics for building live data, coupled with static building and external data for operational efficiency and tenant management
• Establishment of KPI for alerts & insights with Square Sense (service provider of data analytics platform for PPRE)
• Project management in following the building data commissioning and onboarding on platform with various stakeholders involved

You will also work on other tasks as below :

- Support the development of the group`s strategy on selected operational tasks

- Contribute to the management of consultants on project by project basis

- Interface and support various lines of business for matters related to innovation, sustainability and digitalization

- Bibliographic research, writing notes, preparing slide decks

- Organize, monitor (budget, deadlines) and support strategic projects with the additional project management

tasks of:

- Preparation and minutes of meetings and scheduling

- Interface with internal stakeholders and external consultants

- Contribute to internal and external presentations, with emphasis on investor reporting

Profile / Skills

The ideal candidate:

- Student in the last year of engineering or business school with a strong interest in the real estate field

- Already experienced in working in a corporate environment (previous internship or full-time experience)

- Finance and/or Data Science background is highly appreciated but not required

- Excellent command of English, French and/or German preferred

- Perfect command of office automation tools (Microsoft suite)

- Strong ability to synthesize, conceptualize and solve problems
