Allianz Global Investors is looking for a 6-month intern for its Infrastructure Private Debt team in its Paris office. The internship will start in March 2025 (there is flexibility however to start in April). An internship agreement with your school / university ( convention de stage ) will be required.
With over €26 billion invested in more than 150 transactions over the last eleven years, Allianz Global Investors is the largest Infrastructure Private Debt investor in Europe. The team’s portfolio encompasses direct investments in infrastructure projects and corporates in Europe, North America, and Latin America. It covers different sectors (social infrastructure, transportation, renewables, utilities, telecom networks and digital infrastructure) and types of financing (acquisition financing, greenfield or brownfield project financing, refinancing).
The investment team is composed of >25 experienced professionals based in London, New-York, and Paris. You will work with the team in Paris, composed of a senior Director and two Assistant VPs, and will also work with the teams abroad in a collaborative environment.
What you will do
· Participate in the origination, structuring, and execution of new transactions
· Perform due diligence and credit analysis
· Analyse and navigate through complex project finance financial models
· Perform internal rating analysis
· Help prepare investment memorandum for submission to the Investment Committee
· Help with the closing processes, including KYC checks and discussions with other internal stakeholders
· Help monitor closed transactions
· Help prepare internal and external marketing materials
What you bring
· “Convention de stage” mandatory
· Penultimate/final year in top tier university or business or engineering school
· First experience in investment banking/project finance/DCM or infrastructure or asset financing/investment
· Corporate finance fundamentals (including cash-flow analysis)
· Experience in financial modelling
· Excellent written and verbal command of English and French, fluency in another European language is a bonus (though not essential)
· Analytical approach
· Strong communication, planning and organisation skills
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
· Unquestionable integrity and ethical decision-making
