What you do:

This entry-level position within Allianz Investment Management (AIM) Finance and Operations team offers a unique opportunity to blend accounting operations with investment management. As an Operations Accountant, you will play a critical role in collaborating on the annual operating budget process, monitoring actual performance for all of AIM, and overseeing the statutory deposit requirements. This includes creation of monthly internal reports and analysis, monitoring operating expenses, calculations of accruals of asset management fees and client revenues, clients invoicing, processing of vendor payables, managing the statutory deposits, and reconciling positions with custodians. This role provides exposure to both accounting and investment securities management. Candidates must have proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

·  Collaborate with Allianz Life Corporate Finance for budget and spend analysis
·  Analyze and report the monthly actuals against budget 
·  Monitor and track project expenses towards approved plans and budgets.
·  Process timely and accurately vendor invoices in partnership with Allianz Treasury
·  Ensure vendor invoicing is in line with vendor contracts
·  Calculate the monthly expenses and revenues for AIM and report to Allianz Life.
·  Prepare and submit client billings monthly and quarterly as applicable  
·  Manage statutory deposits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
·  Reconcile deposits with custodians, identifying discrepancies and resolving them promptly
·  Understand and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and operations

 

What you bring:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
·  0-2 years’ accounting experience
·  Experience with reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
·  Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, general ledger/financial reporting
·  Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
·  Advance Excel skills
·  Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
·  Effective communication and interpersonal skills
·  Must have basic to high proficiency with AI and/or business intelligence

 

Base Salary Range:  $55,000 - $110,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
