Are you ready to make a significant impact in the Trade Credit insurance industry? Allianz Trade is seeking dynamic SME Account Manager to be part of our team.

You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring their service, retention, and growth, as well as achieving new business targets by managing relationships with brokers and distribution partners across Australia

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as the central communication point and ensuring their service, retention, and growth.
  • Manage relationships with brokers and distribution partners to drive commercial success.
  • Manage new business pipeline, including inbound new business leads
  • Manage renewal pipeline, including negotiations of terms within the commercial underwriting framework.
  • Facilitate portfolio growth by onboarding new business leads and identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities.
  • Take personal responsibility for implementing company-wide quality of service standards.
  • Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure the portfolio is profitable and sustainable.
  • Ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements, including Know-Your-Customer, ESG, and other guidelines.

Who You Are

  • Successful track record in managing a portfolio of SME clients
  • Proven ability to develop and manage broker and partner relationships, generating new business opportunities, and converting them into profitable long-term clients.
  • Ability to understand current and prospective clients' businesses and assess underlying commercial risks.
  • A problem-solving mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing attributes.
  • Compliance with Commercial Underwriting objectives, guidelines, and regulatory requirements is crucial.
  • Awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.
