The Campaign Planning team at Aldi is looking for a strategically minded, self-motivated individual. The successful candidate will define strategic approaches, write briefs for large-scale, multi-channel campaigns, and manage a team of marketing assistants. They will collaborate with stakeholders to understand product and category strategies, developing relevant content, and oversee day-to-day workloads with agency partners, ensuring timely, on-brief, and budget-compliant delivery while maintaining on-brand messaging. The candidate will collaborate with marketing managers to manage all aspects of campaign planning, handling multiple work streams for annual and ad hoc projects.

Your New Role:


Campaign Planning:

·  Develop and define the strategic approach for marketing campaigns, including writing comprehensive briefs for large-scale campaigns across multiple channels.
·  Ensure all strategies, media, and creative responses are aligned with our overall objectives and effectively communicate our brand message.
·  Conduct insight analysis and write detailed campaign washups.
·  Understand business KPIs and objectives to ensure all marketing activities are aligned with our goals and contribute to overall business success.
·  Handle multiple work streams to ensure the successful delivery of the annual plan, as well as managing ad hoc projects as required.
·  Coordinate efforts across different teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.

Team Leadership:

·  Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of high-performing marketing assistants, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their best performance.
·  Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
·  Directly manage and lead a team, including providing feedback, setting performance goals, and supporting their career development.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

·  Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand product and category strategies.
·  Translate this understanding into relevant and compelling content for the wider marketing team.
·  Ensure all communications are consistent with the consumer mindset and brand positioning.
·  Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment across departments.

Agency Management:

·  Oversee day-to-day workload and project management with agency partners, ensuring on-time, on-brief, and budget-compliant deliverables.
·  Maintain high creative quality standards, ensuring all materials are on-brand and deliver key messaging effectively.
·  Oversee agency partners' delivery, ensuring they meet performance expectations and contribute to campaign success.

General Duties:

·  Coordinate multiple campaigns and timelines, ensuring timely and quality delivery. Using analytical skills to interpret data, identify growth opportunities, and optimise performance.
·  Demonstrate strong project management skills to oversee campaigns from start to finish.
·  Create and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, showcasing strategies, progress, and results.
·  Conduct post-campaign analysis to evaluate success and identify improvements.
·  Build and maintain strong relationships within Marketing and Buying teams for aligned campaigns.
·  Make proactive campaign recommendations based on market trends, consumer insights, and business objectives.
·  Manage budgets effectively to ensure cost-efficient activities and maximum ROI.
Our ideal candidate will have:
·  Extensive Experience : Highly experienced in campaign or brand management, ideally in retail or FMCG.
·    Project Management Expertise : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
·    Strategic Thinking : Develop and implement marketing plans aligning with business goals. Write briefs and oversee campaign execution.
·    Team Leadership : Lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
·    Stakeholder Management : Manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders, including marketing, product, digital, and creative teams, and agency partners.
·    Data-Driven Decision Making : Use data and analytics to inform strategies, optimise campaigns, and provide continuous improvement insights. 
·  Process Optimisation : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks. 
·  Creative & Strategic Balance : Combine innovative content ideas with data-driven decision-making, supporting creative and strategic activities

About You:

·  Extensive experience working in marketing, either for a marketing agency or in-house or highly experienced within a similar role.
·  Exceptional skills in communication and stakeholder management; not afraid to challenge when necessary.
·  Passionate about understanding and learning about the customer.
·  Excellent skills in writing briefs and presentations.
·  Strong analytical abilities to sift through data and extract key insights and information.
·  Demonstrated track record of managing agency deliveries.
·  Excellent project management skills.
·  Experience managing and leading a team.
·  Highly organised with a natural attention to detail.
·  Excellent presentation skills.
·  Good understanding and experience of managing, delivering, and reporting on marketing campaigns.
·  Strong written and spoken communication skills.
·  Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of multitasking.
·  Clear communicator.
·  Ability to work independently and part of a wider, growing team
·  Proficient in Microsoft applications.
·  Interest in creativity and innovation.

What you'll get in return:

·  Starting salary £61,985 rising to £80,400
·  Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
