About The Opportunity:

We're currently on the hunt for a passionate and highly experienced Technical Service Representative (TSR) to join our dynamic team at Marine & Protective Yacht Coatings, Coomera, Gold Coast Australia. Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you'll be the go-to technical guru for our Asia Pacific Yacht sales team. You'll leverage your extensive experience to provide comprehensive support, including:
Technical Expertise & Collaboration:
* Work under the daily direction of the Technical Co-Ordinator APAC.
* Deliver practical and theoretical training to customers on the use and application techniques of AkzoNobel's AWLGrip and International yacht coating products.
* Support the sales team by providing technical guidance, training, and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
* Assist the sales team in educating customers on technical requirements of product lines and promoting available support tools. 
* Be an active and engaged member of the Asia Pacific Yacht Sales Team, fostering a collaborative and open environment that optimizes team performance and upskilling.

Training & Knowledge Management:
* Prepare necessary materials and pre-prep training panels prior to training programs, ensuring the training centre is ready.
* Maintain the training centre, including logging KPIs, managing consumable supplies, and cleaning.
* Actively update CRM and Case Management systems with customer and complaint information.

Technical Support & Problem-Solving:
* Conduct product tests and evaluations, participating in new product launch project teams.
* Process Color Sample Requests and support the warehouse in providing precise color matches and large volume paint mixes. 
* Provide expert knowledge in complaint handling regarding products, performance, and application.
* Proactively prevent and solve technical problems.
* Conduct AWLMix audits in-house and at relevant distributors.
* Deliver periodical business reports/reviews.


As well as:

Customer Focus & Representation:
* Support and provide expert knowledge to internal stakeholders and customers.
* Conduct new product demonstrations.
* Collaborate with Account Managers on repeated calls to key existing and potential customers.
* Attend all relevant meetings and represent the APAC Yacht business at Boat Shows and industry events.

Continuous Improvement:
* Continually seek out internal and external business improvement opportunities, working with stakeholders to implement change.
* Actively contribute to the development and upskilling of the team.


You'll be a superstar if you possess:

* Proven Experience:  A minimum of 5 years demonstrably successful experience in a similar Technical Service Representative role within the yacht coatings industry.
* Technical Expertise:  A deep understanding of yacht coatings, their application processes, and best practices.
* Communication Savvy:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving Prowess:  A proactive and analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Team Player:  The ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
* Travel Ready:  Willingness and flexibility to travel interstate and internationally on short notice for customer visits and industry events.
