About The Opportunity:

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking for a rewarding career? We're seeking a dedicated Supply Planner to join our team in Sunshine, Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis. 
As the Supply Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing all assigned materials activity in relation to production planning and ensuring availability for the Master Production Plan in line with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters and supplier contracts. You will also oversee the distribution of Finished Goods with a high level of understanding of trade-offs between service, inventory, and costs for all Business Units.

What you will be doing:

* Plan the flow of materials into the factory by ensuring raw materials are available for production schedules and that inventory levels are maintained to avoid shortages or excess stock.
* Meet materials planning targets by identifying and driving actions to improve the supply and availability of materials within the facility.
* Oversee the planning and scheduling of materials into production sites, ensuring that locally produced and imported materials meet production needs.
* Ensure Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) and inventory targets are adhered to and manage MRP exception messages regularly.
* Liaise with the Warehouse Manager and 3PL: Coordinate all imported containers, airfreights, and Less-than-Container Load (LCL) shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
* Continuously improve the purchasing process and enhance purchasing efficiency and effectiveness.
* Use planning systems to maintain the integrity of Purchase Orders and ensure materials are available as needed.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing, Demand, and Commercial teams to review and optimise supply chain operations.
* Focus on working capital reduction and materials availability improvement to support overall business goals.


To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

* Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in supply chain and inventory management, preferably within the coating industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
* Excellent knowledge in MRP and Excel with a strong background in purchasing. Knowledgeable in SAP and other ERP systems.
* Possess great analysis skills and numerical ability, able to manipulate and interpret large quantities of data.
* Strong ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* A strong team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work cross-functionally.
* Strong levels of resilience, able to work under pressure with little supervision, drive for results, and quality-oriented.
