Quality Control Sprayer

About The Role:

We are looking for a Powder Sprayer to join our Quality Control team in Sunshine, Melbourne. Reporting to the Powder Quality Supervisor, you will support the quality control testing process for Industrial Powder Coating products, ensuring that products meet customer requirements and quality standards.

What You'll Do:

* Spray and cure powder samples, record data, and check colours with a spectrophotometer. Make sure every batch meets our high standards. For example, you might test a batch of powder coating intended for automotive parts, ensuring the colour matches the client's specifications precisely.
* Adjust colours to match specs. Be familiar with the colour adjusting procedure and use the colour computer as a guide and learn from past batches.
* Keep our equipment in good shape by following the calibration schedule and doing some maintenance.
* Keep your work area clean and free of clutter. Maintain the level of consumables and notify the Quality Technician when stock is running low.
* Help with paperwork, organise jars, print labels, upload batch numbers, and get everything ready for the factory.
* Participate in investigations and recommend actions for quality concerns.
* Look for ways to do things better and faster.
* Stick to our quality control system and suggest improvements.
* Keep our customers updated about their orders.
* Execute quality requests such as shelf-life extensions and certificate of analysis.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure every batch meets the required specifications.


What you need to have:

* Education background in Science or a related field.
* Experience in quality control in the related industry.
* Good with colour spectrophotometers and other QC tools.
* Know how to adjust colours.
* Ability to maintain and calibrate equipment.
* Organised and good with paperwork.
* Strong analytical skills for continuous improvement.
* Great communicator with customers and team members.
* Attention to detail and committed to quality.
