About the Opportunity:
Are you a dynamic and strategic marketing professional looking to make an impact? We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team in Sunshine North, Melbourne.
In this role, you will work closely with the Regional Marketing Manager to translate segment strategies, market research, and customer requirements into a detailed regional strategic plan. You will support and coordinate marketing and product activities to execute regional segment initiatives and plans.
This role demands a results-oriented individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. You must effectively navigate a large company, build strong relationships, and understand customer needs.
We will count on you to:
* Develop and implement regional strategic plans and related tactical actions. You will be the driving force behind our regional marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
* Analyse market data to identify key segment opportunities, shape our marketing strategies and drive growth.
* Conduct regular product lifecycle analysis and support product complexity reduction initiatives. Your analytical skills will be crucial in optimising our product offerings.
* Research and analyse customers to align with segment and regional strategies. Understanding our customers' needs and preferences will be at the heart of your work.
* Collaborate with sales teams to track projects and customers through CRM.
* Analyse and maintain data about local competitors to understand competitive advantages to help us stay ahead in the market.
* Support short-term product improvement processes in coordination with R&D and help enhance our product quality and performance.
* Identify key sales activities for the region and participate in trade shows and customer events. You will create presentations and scripts that captivate our audience.
* Develop and execute communication plans for the region with the support of the BU Marketing Communications team.
* Manage local language versions of marketing collateral and content on digital tools.
What you need to have:
* Formal degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
* Previous experience in a commercial environment, with exposure to multiple areas of digital marketing and/or sales. Experience in a technical or technical service role is advantageous.
* Strong analytical mind with good financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and solid interpersonal and influencing abilities.
* Familiarity with the coatings industry and an understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements.
