About The Opportunity:
We are currently on the hunt for an enthusiastic and experienced Colour Sample Production Specialist to join our dynamic team at AkzoNobel in Sunshine, Melbourne. You will play a critical role in managing the production, spraying, and labeling of colour sample panels, as well as powder sample production. This position is essential in ensuring that our samples and powders meet the highest quality standards, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of our sales and specification teams.
This role requires a high level of problem-solving skills, particularly in panel spraying. The ideal candidate must be able to think on their feet and resolve issues independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the full cycle of spraying and labelling panels, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of requests to meet customer service demands.
* Produce powder and sample panels for the Specification and Sales teams.
* Utilise lab equipment to produce powder, ensuring accurate colour matching and powder re-creation for client specifications.
* Maintain clear communication with both customer service and specification teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deadlines.
* Ensure all samples and powders meet quality standards and specifications before release to customers or internal teams.
* Manage lab and production equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and readiness for consistent use.
You will be a superstar if you possess:
* Experience with spraying, labelling, and powder production in a manufacturing or lab environment.
* Basic knowledge of lab equipment and colour matching processes.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict quality standards.
* Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple internal teams.
* Ability to manage high-volume workloads and adapt to changing demand.
