Description: Responsible for designing and developing a product/product family. Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel. Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary.

Additional Details

Will assess FE technology and competitive powertrains in vehicle and at component level. Direct measurement of powertrain system performance will be measured for FE, drivability, and emissions. Powertrain Benchmarking Database will be developed and maintained with compiled data. Powertrain Benchmarking workshops will be organized and facilitated for procurement, teardown, and data collection of competitive powertrains. 

Requirements:

BSME, BSEE, applied Physics from an ABET accredited university or equivalent required. 

3-5 years of experience preferred, but entry level candidates with strong sense of urgency considered. 

Familiarity with or experience in powertrain benchmark, analysis, testing, or development preferred.  

Demonstrated knowledge of spark ignition IC engines, engine/ controls and calibration/control strategies, demonstrated knowledge of vehicle/powertrain system preferred.

Preferred Requirements
Candidates with some level of practical experience are preferred.

Driving and Travel Requirements:

Will be required to drive a company car.  A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.    Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
