Job description

Description:
Develop DVP&R plans to support program changes (hardware, software, calibration, external stakeholder, regulatory, etc.)
Provide input on resources (vehicles, manpower, trips, test facilities, etc.) required to implement program changes
Execute DVP&R to develop, validate and release calibration programs changes to production successfully and on-time
Lead cross-functional discussions required to implement changes in responsible calibration area (i.e. bring proposed transmission changes into engine, fuel economy, vehicle integration, chief engineering, software engineering, quality engineering and other necessary forums to obtain stakeholder buy-off)
Prepare calibration validation reports highlighting benefit of changes-made and showing validation conducted to justify release
Follow a rigorous calibration release process including creating and posting calibration change documentation including calibration comparison reports
Support certification documentation process including rigorously documenting and communicating all calibration changes to appropriate certification governance forums
Support calibration development trips as-needed to support assignments
Support calibration development in test environments (powertrain dyno, hot/cold/altitude cell, etc.) to support assignments
Collect data using ETAS-INCA, Canalyzer or other industry standard data acquisition tools to develop and validate calibration performance
Triage calibration issues in development, fleet and other vehicles if necessary
Complete other assignments as-directed

Profile

Basic Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited university
Minimum of 3 years related calibration experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to draft concise e-mails and Powerpoint presentations
Ability to collect CAN/CCP/XCP and analog (thermocouple, etc.) data using ETAS-INCA
Ability to perform calibration dataset management
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
Authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Requirements
Prior experience using ETAS-INCA to collect vehicle data
Prior experience in calibration dataset management
Prior calibration development and release experience

Driving and Travel Requirements:
Will be required to drive a company car. A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record. Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
