Job description

Contracted position for 1 or 2 years in Doha, QATAR with multiple visits to onshore/offshore sites. The job holder is expected to train another person in practical Oil&Gas industrial hygiene risk assessment.

 

_ Perform IH risk assessment on chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic workplace hazards and follow up on action plans.

_ Monitor and review the IH hazard control on offshore production platforms, FSOs and drilling rigs.

_ Identify and asses the control of hazardous substances in onshore logistics warehouse.

_ Act as administrator of the Chemical database software and cascade training, and ensure that SDS database is accessible by relevant staff onshore and offshore.

_ Assist in the selection of IH equipment and coordinate equipment calibration.

_ Manage water quality inspections on offshore and onshore locations.

_ Assist in the development and implementation of Health & Industrial Hygiene awareness campaigns.

_ Participate in carrying out Health & IH inspections and audits.

_ Participate in crisis response training and assist during emergency response situations.

_ Provide training and communications to offshore and onshore staff about IH risks and mitigations.

_ Perform IH measurement to the client sites.

Profile

Required:

_ Bsc degree in Engineering or Health sciences.

_ 10 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene and 5 years in Oil&Gas sector (offshore and onshore).

_ Certified Industriel Hygienist or NEBOSH diploma level of qualification.

_ Fluent in English language.
