Graduate Aerospace Engineer – Safety Engineering

Are you a recent graduate in aerospace engineering and / or safety engineering? With several projects ongoing with a range of civil and military aerospace customers to support the safety and reliability aspects of their aircraft development programmes, we are looking to bolster our team with the next generation of engineers.
Working as part of a growing Safety and Human Factors team, you will interact closely with our customers’ teams and their suppliers to perform safety assessments on a range of systems and subsystems. We have diverse projects ranging across many technical discplines in aerospace, automotive and rail engineering in the UK and abroad which means that good opportunities for career development and travel are available for the right candidate.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
· Review documentation and challenge supplier analyses
· Perform the following analysis activities as part of the overall project verification and validation program:
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) at functional and component level
-Reliability prediction
- Common Mode Analysis (CMA)
- Hazard analysis
· Redaction of System Safety Assessment documentation for complex systems
· Participation in design reviews
· Support the design change process by estimating and validating the safety impacts of each modification.
Essential Skills & Knowledge Required
· Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar scientific based qualification
· Able to own technical responsibility for a particular task or work package
· Logical approach to problem solving and the ability to map out simple and effective processes
· Awareness of the Systems Engineering Development Life Cycle and Certification Phases
· Outgoing personality with the ability to interact with customers and suppliers at all levels
