Job description

Description:Work in a team environment, in conjunction with a supplier team, to design, develop and verify embedded Transmission Module or Engine Controller or Engine module electronics. This position will include interaction with multiple Engineering disciplines, vehicle teams and suppliers.

•Develop module specifications, FMEAs, test specifications and source packages.
•Design and/or verify circuit designs.
•Lead / participate in issue resolution activities during development, vehicle launch, and/or warranty periods.
•Support effort to incorporate module(s) into Chrysler vehicle electrical systems.
•Work with supplier on new module package designs to conform to Chrysler vehicle under hood and interior environments.
•Lead / participate in teams to develop the required vehicle function control requirements that are incorporated into the controllers.
•Prototype possible cost saving or development issue solutions in hardware and/or software in conjunction with supplier.
•Lead / participate in technical coordination meetings and trips to supplier for component technical reviews.
•Support activities with corporate supplier quality and purchasing areas.
•Support corporate quality in the areas of plant and field issue resolution.

Requirements:

•B.S.E.E. or related degree.
•1–5 years Automotive electronics Experience
•Co-op or Summer Internship Experience
•Must be lawfully authorized to work in the US permanently without restrictions.
•Self-starter
•Possess outstanding interpersonal and critical thinking skills. 

Preferred Requirements: 

•5-10 years with Electronic Module or Automotive Experience

•Master’s Degree
•Component releasing experience desirable.
•Experience with electronic module design, specifically embedded electronics desirable
•Powertrain subsystem or vehicle systems experience a plus
•Thermal management, electronic packaging background for power electronics desirable
•Familiarity with microcontroller design desirable.
•Familiarity / experience in specifying or designing control system algorithms for inclusion in purchased electronic controllers.
•Familiarity / experience with embedded software design desirable.

Driving and Travel Requirements:
Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

Will be required to drive a company car.  Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
