Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Transportation & Fleet Coordinator to join our Logistics Department based in Mobile, AL

This Position is responsible for managing owned and rental fleet equipment and vehicles for the site. Ensures coordination and operation of the site shuttle service.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

Fleet Equipment Tracking: 40%

· 
Handle the day to day fleet responsibilities for the FAL including subcontractor coordination. Ensuring adherence of regulations of all local and federal laws.

2. Subcontractor Communication: 30%

· 
Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent impact to Manufacturing Operations and minimize impact to end users.

3. Service Improvements: 30%

· 
Recommend and lead initiatives to increase and improve service delivery considering both cost and quality - KPI Management

· 
Works with vendors daily and tracks performance to KPI’s, optimally communicates with collaborators in timely manner

· 
Coordinate and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews within contract guidelines with accurate points of contact.

· 
Coordinate all activities with fleet management team

· 
Review, approve and process invoicing for related activities

· 
Development and tracking of corrective action plans regarding service delivery

· 
Other duties as advised by Fleet Manager

Your boarding pass:

Education:

Required

· 
High School diploma with 2+ years of fleet management experience

Preferred

· 
Degree in Business, Fleet Management, Logistics, or related field

Experience:

Required

· 
3+ years of fleet management experience in a production environment

Preferred

· 
3+years coordinating and reporting subcontractor activities in a production environment

· 
Specified focus on fleet requirements for all types of vehicles, lifts, or aircraft positioning equipment

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Required

· 
Analytical and quantitative skills with proven track record to develop strategic solutions

Preferred

· 
Knowledge of current industry trends, standard processes and technology

· 
Operational experience using SAP systems

· 
Budgetary management

· 
Knowledge and successful application of project management practices
