Bachelor/Master Thesis (d/f/m) in “ Design of a Ground Control Station Software for Multi-UAV Applications Using a Holistic Systems Engineering Approach ”

Your tasks and responsibilities

The goal of this work is to develop a concept for the design of a Ground Control Station Software for Multi-UAV Applications with the introduction of a holistic Systems Engineering Approach.

The work will include:

· 
Development of a modular ground control station for managing multiple UAVs

· 
Application of a holistic systems engineering process from requirements to testing

· 
Architecture design focusing on scalability, interoperability and real-time performance

· 
Coordination and mission planning for multi-UAV scenarios (e.g. formation flight, area coverage)

· 
Optional: Integration with simulation platforms such as PX4-SITL, Gazebo or AirSim

Desired skills and qualifications

· 
Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or similar.

· 
Good skills in software development (C++ / Java)

· 
Familiar with or interested in probability theory & statistics

· 
Familiar with version control software, e.g. Git

· 
Good English and/or German language skills

· 
Team player
