Airbus Corporate Security is looking for an “Head of Physical Security (d/f/m) Germany” for the “Physical Security” department.

We are a multifunctional team with a comprehensive security portfolio. We protect our employees, our property, and our products through the application of technical, personnel, and organizational security measures. Furthermore, we act as the interface to various external government and government-related organizations for Airbus.
This is our core mission. It requires us to focus inward to protect all Airbus assets using a risk-based approach, but also to guide it, together with Divisions and Airbus’ functions, when it comes to Security compliance, business opportunities or in times of crisis.
As Head Of Physical Security Germany you have a wide range of responsibilities.
As Part of the Management Team you…

… are responsible for managing an organization of more than 100 employees. This includes acting as proximity manager for roughly 20 employees from other Corporate Security entities.
·
… are supposed to develop and motivate your teams, encourage innovation and ensure outcomes on time, cost and quality.
·
… Lead and Manage projects and people, directly and indirectly as part of an extended multifunctional team.
·
… are accountable to control and manage an annual budget and ensure the proper allocation and management of budgets and resources to cover all required security means.
·
… own the Security Work Package Agreements (WPA’s) with Service Providers in the scope of Physical Security Germany. Coordinate, manage and steer service providers for Site Security and Fire Services and ensure performance.

… promote a security culture throughout all German based organizations and shape a business oriented operational model for all security teams.

… are responsible that all Airbus entities in the country are compliant with all legal and statutory requirements concerning security.

… act as a focal point for local and national authorities concerning security matters

… engage with the Security Network of Industrial partners and neighbors of the Airbus Sites as well as in a nationwide Security Network with all major industries.
·
… engage with the Security colleagues in other Airbus Divisions and Affiliates.
As responsible Security Officer, for the perimeter of the position you
·
… are the contact person regarding classified information topics in Germany, together with colleagues.
·
… are responsible for defining, developing and controlling the implementation of security operations and related processes and projects throughout the sites.
·
… ensure that all security risks are identified, reported and managed based on regular security assessments across the sites, including DRC (Defence Regulatory Compliance) initiatives relative to critical infrastructure.
·
… act as point of contact regarding security topics, loss prevention and anti fraud management towards internal stakeholders including Senior Management.
·
.... are accountable for the planning, specification, implementation and acceptance of new and existing security technology and software.
·
… be intimate with the assets, industrial processes, logistics and supply chain of all site and develop a strong relationship with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Site Management, Facility Management, HR).

… plan and undertake emergency and contingency planning exercises.
·
… lead the first response operations including taking part in the Crisis Management Team (CMT).
Qualifications
·
Master or Bachelor in Security Management or similar.
·
Good understanding of needs and requirements of an industrial production organization.
·
A strong background in Security Management with experience in Corporate Security of the commercial or industrial sector is essential.
·
Proven leadership skills of local and remote teams.
·
Experience in Crisis management.
·
Good understanding of the technical architecture relative to security systems.
·
Excellent communication and organisational skills with an ability to analyse and assess complex issues.
·
Complementary skills in risk management and emergency planning is essential.
·
German language to native speaker level and fluent English - French would be a plus.
Required Certifications
·
Must be able to pass european civil aviation enhanced vetting and training.
·
The position is subject to regulatory controls and or security clearance including caveats.
·
Certain programs / projects impose specific restrictions due to Export Control requirements and successful accreditation is required.
Organisation
You will report directly to the Chief Physical Security Officer (CPSO) and have a strong operational proximity to the Corporate Security Organization. Furthermore you report to the Board of Directors in Germany and deliver Security reports during Board Meetings.
