About Metrology Engineer (m/f/d)
Testia's Large-Scale Vision Inspection Team in Ottobrunn, develops solutions for automated quality inspection of aircraft components during manufacturing. Our multidisciplinary team groups different competence fields from software, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
Our challenge is to generalize sensor solutions, especially machine vision systems, for highly variable component geometries, surface qualities and materials.
Your Tasks
·
Develop instrument-level alignment, compensation, and optical performance tests
·
Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metrics.
·
Understand and trace system inaccuracy sources; determine system-level accuracy and repeatability, e.g., extrinsics
·
Help to define test procedures for the verification of a complex automation system
·
Works with Machine Vision, Automation, and Mechanical Engineering to actively develop and/or modify automation systems
What we look for
·
Studied in mathematics, optical physics, metrology, computer science, or a comparable field of study
·
Experience in optical physics and/or using optical components extensively
·
Outstanding skills in test data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting
·
Proven problem-solving skills; ability to decompose complex issues into small solvable blocks and explain them in plain language
·
High sense of responsibility
·
Fluency in English and/or German
·
Outstanding team capability, communication, documentation, and presentation abilities
