Test Pilot – Production Flight Test Rotary Wing

Short summary:

As a Test Pilot you are responsible for planning, conducting and establishing reports concerning the production, certification, marketing and sales activities as well as for flight training on helicopters. Moreover a comprehensive knowledge of flight test technologies and experience with aviation certification documents and processes is expected. Operational support of the Flight Line-, Quality and Engineering Team in production/flight activities is part of the task, as well as ensuring flight safety.

Your tasks:

- Performance of production test and instruction/training flights

- Performance of certification test flights if necessary

- Handing over of helicopters and instruction flights with our customers

- Ferry flights followed by handing over the helicopters to the customer

- Adherence to all current rules and regulations concerning Airbus Helicopters Flight Operations

- Keep a close relationship with the flight line- and quality team in order to deliver on quality and time

- Drawing up test reports in written form

- Support of projects to achieve certification.

Your qualifications / skills:

- Final degree in aerospace technology or similar (Bachelor/MSc or equivalent)

- Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Sound mindset w.r.t. flight safety topics and support to the Safety Management System (SMS)

- Ensure coordination and support tracking of changes of local flight regulations and finalization of correcting actions if necessary

- Licensing: CHPL ,ATPL (H) or CPL (H), (IFR)

- Instructor Rating: FI, TRI

- Test flight permit class 1 or 2 Rotary Wing (EASA preferred)

- Medical certificate: Medical Class 1

- Overall flight hours on helicopters: 1500 hrs

- Overall flight hours as pilot-in-command (PIC): 1000 hrs

- Overall flight hours on turbine helicopters: 1000 hrs

- Type certification: Type Rating for H125

- Advanced software skills, e.g. proficiency in MS Office

- Flexibility, mobility, ability to work under pressure and capable of being good team player

- Languages: full proficiency in English and French (preferred).
