Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Manager, Federal Sales   to join our Commercial Affairs team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

in this role, you will lead the Federal market sales and marketing activities for new helicopters in North America. You will also serve as the primary focal point, liaison, and interface for all customer support tied to new helicopter sales involving logistics, logistical planning, and business requirements, providing solutions and alternatives for strategic and operational needs under the direction of the VP of Support.

Your Challenges:

Federal Sales Responsibilities:  35%

·  Maintain contact with key Federal customers by regular and/or monthly visits to their sites
·  Generate Federal customer opportunities and sales leads
·  Ensure the success of aircraft demonstrations as required
·  Compile data and prepare market analysis and forecast presentations
·  Assist in the development of marketing and sales strategies focused at key customer sales of all AH products and services
·  Attend local and national trade shows and exhibits as required for purposes of developing new business and public relations activity
·  Maintain knowledge of competitor's products and sales activities, and possesses an awareness of the comparison to AH products and services
·  Supervise personal travel budget to operate within company guidelines

Market Segment Support Responsibilities:  35%

·  Identify and pursue market segment prospects and assist developing those prospects through the sales stages: prospect, qualify, develop, negotiate, and book for the market segment
·  Create list of Federal fleet by age and manufacturer
·  Identify new and existing customers to pursue
·  Forecast expected bookings on 12 month rolling basis
·  Establish and maintain a close relationship and effective rapport with key figures in the market segment community.
·  Evaluate the performance and features of AHI’s product line and how they compare to competitive models.
·  Exchange pertinent information on the market segment helicopter market and specific sales opportunities with other sales and marketing staff members.
·  Develop and initiate sales campaigns in response to market changes in coordination with the Director of Sales.
·  Develop Federal Market Sales strategy and assist with determining resources required to achieve that strategy.
·  Use Sales Force according to departmental sales objectives.
·  Coordinate flight demonstrations and demonstration tours based on requirements of the helicopter sales process for specific customers. To be coordinated with the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales

Metric Assessment, Analysis and Reporting:  10%

·  Maintain accurate records of customer interaction and sales funnel opportunities within company CRM system
·  Prepare vital reports communicating key data for the end customer
·  Communicate to customer base key performances and recommendations for mutual benefit
·  Prepare internal reports and supply to briefs
·  Handle internal communications with management and support departments

Marketing Support:  10%

·  Actively participate and assist at both the national and regional market segment events, shows, and seminars. Work with RSMs and shows/events staff to determine which shows and events will enhance interaction with customers given resource constraints and develop appropriate marketing messages.
·  Study and recommend new market segment equipment or arrangements on the basis of trends in the Industry, to include active interaction with appropriate Completion Centers.

Subject Matter Expert:  10%

·  Maintain subject matter expertise (SME) within the market segment by attending trade shows, keeping awareness of the latest developments, and continuing education or selective training.
·  Represent Airbus Helicopters as the Market Segment SME in North America and also retain relations with and awareness of developments within in market segment in Airbus Helicopters.

Your Boarding Pass:

·  Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience
·  Minimum of 10 years’ aviation experience as an officer/pilot/supervisor or practitioner may serve as an equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
·  Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation (aircraft or helicopters).
·  At least two years of experience working in an aerospace company or with the Department of Defense in a sales or similar capacity.
·  Computer proficiency: MS Office applications (such as PowerPoint, excel), Siebel (or similar CRM experience), SAP.
·  Strong sales and marketing techniques are required.

·  ERP systems, SAP application, Microsoft Office Suite, and maintenance management systems proficiency.

Preferred Skills:

·  MBA or Master’s degree
·  Pilot, aerospace/aeronautical engineer, and/or maintenance background
·  Business, logistics and supply management, and customer service knowledge
·  Preferably some solid understanding of SAP application, WebEx, ShareCopter and Siebel.

Willing and able to travel often, including overnight travel up to 60%
