Job Objectives
The SH&W Specialist is responsible for the engagement of a consistent and positive SH&W culture across the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), office and warehouse operations. The role will provide advice and support to employees on all SH&W related issues and be the key resource in identifying corrective and preventative actions and coordinating associated action. The role will also focus on championing and promoting safety, health and wellbeing programs and opportunities to all staff providing guidance and support as required. The role will work primarily independent and autonomous. The specialist is expected to engage effectively up to including senior leaders. The role also supports Physical and Travel Security and Crisis and Business Continuity Management.
Primary responsibilities

The duties of a Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SH&W) Specialist as outlined in the legislation.
·
Track and coordinate SH&W Operational Schedule activities to ensure work plans and timelines are met;
·
Implementing and monitoring APAC SH&W Governance Framework to ensure compliance and conformance is maintained.
·
Ensuring SH&W objectives and targets are monitored periodically.
·
Ensuring all SH&W incidents are reported, investigated and effectively closed.
·
Conducting SH&W induction for new employees, contractors, contract workers, temp staff and/or visitors as and when necessary.
·
Ensuring effectiveness of SH&W programs for Airbus staff, contract workers, vendors, contractors & visitors where applicable.
·
Coordinating and/or provide guidance to contractors/sub-contractors in engaging their services and ensure safety rules are enforced during their course of work within Airbus premises.
·
Conducting and reviewing Risk Assessments.
·
Supporting personnel conducting workplace inspections to ensure proactive identification of any SH&W hazards are identified mitigated so far as reasonably practicable.
·
Organising & provide SH&W training as required.
·
Keeping abreast with local SH&W legislations and developments ensuring the Head of H&S for APAC is updated.
·
Participate as an active member of the Health and Safety Committee including participation and contribution, meeting coordination, secretarial tasks associated and regular liaison with Committee members
·
Ensure the organisation has processes in place for adequate fire protection checks of equipment and evacuation drills.
·
Ensure first aid responders are appointed within corporate settings and that first aid kits and personal protective equipment are appropriately maintained and is available as required and complies with appropriate standards
·
Develop, draft and disseminate the various safety communications
·
Liaise, collaborate and align with PeopleSafety@Work Airbus core team
·
Actively participate, collaborating and align with the Airbus Core Team (Well Being @ Work)
·
Other WSH duties assigned by the Head of SH&W for APAC
Secondary Responsibilities
·
Overall management for health & safety committee
·
Review and update the operation manual from EHS perspective
·
Response in the event of workplace incident including registration to the labor office
·
Data analysis for risk report and labor incident
·
Physical and Travel Security
·
Monitoring of crisis management and business continuity management, along with regular drills and system reviews.
·
Actively participate, collaborating and align with the Airbus Core Team (Security / Crisis Management)
