Security Clearance: As this role is working on UK MOD projects, the ability to obtain security clearance up to DV level is essential
TRAVEL REQUIRED : Occasional travel within UK / and international
LOCATION : Portsmouth (60% of your working week must be office based)

The successful applicant will lead the Military Satcom Terminal Delivery team based in Portsmouth, supporting Satcom programmes in the Land and Maritime environment. You will be an integral part of our Mechanical and Electrical engineering team, contributing to the success of Satcom terminals projects offering expert knowledge and understanding of the systems development lifecycle, from development and management of requirements through design, build and test, to the final systems acceptance and delivery.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

Lead the military Satcom terminal development lifecycle from development and management of requirements through design, build and test to final systems acceptance and delivery
·
Lead on Systems Safety Engineering. Plan and lead a MoD ASEMS compliant Safety and Environmental Programme.
·
Support engineering functions such as TLS, ILS and RAMS engineering
·
Management and awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth
ABOUT YOU
·
Skilled and experienced systems engineer able to multi-task and manage complex Satcom terminal delivery programmes
·
Experience of Systems Safety Engineering and Product Regulatory Compliance
·
Must be able to follow electrical design schematics and system architecture models.
·
Familiar with Configuration Control and Document Management, preferably in Windchill.
