Summary of Position:

The Procurement & Purchasing Specialist will report to the Head of Procurement. He/she is in charge of overseeing aviation-related goods and services procurement for AH Japan. He/she will liaise with overseas & domestic suppliers as well as AH entities in other regions to perform purchase order contract management and procurement execution. He/she will search, select and negotiate on contract terms and conditions with suppliers under the supervision of the Head of Procurement. He/she will also lead other Procurement members in the section as well as other department members in house to ensure smooth operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· 
Purchase goods and services that meet quantity and quality standards defined in contracts or else.

· 
Monitor and follow outstanding Purchase Orders with suppliers for: Spare parts, repair and overhaul (R/O) serviced parts, warranty & H-Care parts, as well as outsourcing orders.

· 
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including price, quality standards, delivery dates, etc.

· 
Search and map potential, new and existing suppliers by competency and skills.

· 
Develop strong relationships with suppliers for favorable agreements.

· 
Conduct periodical meetings with suppliers.

· 
Conduct supplier evaluation periodically and manage Approved Suppliers by local and international standards.

· 
Follow up quality and quantity discrepancy issues with suppliers and provide timely response to achieve optimum services to in-house requestors.

· 
Monitor KPI (purchase spend, supplier performance including goods & services’ price, delivery and quality performance, etc.)

· 
Collaborate with in-house requestors for sourcing planning as well as procurement issue solving.

· 
AOG (airplane on the ground / emergency) follow-up on weekend only if any in rare cases.

Job Requirements:

· 
Proficient in English and Japanese

· 
Experience in procurement

· 
Comfortable with data management systems and office PC tools (SAP, Excel, etc.)

· 
Able to demonstrate good negotiation and analytical skills

· 
Project & time management skills

· 
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and writing)

· 
Strong problem-solving skills

· 
Maintain positive attitudes and willing to learn continually

· 
Helicopter knowledge to understand customer’s issues linked with business is a plus

· 
Knowledge in Airbus and Airbus corporate culture and process is a plus
