Description of the job
A vacancy for a System IVV Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join “IVVQ Germany”, an international Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification engineering team that plans, implements and supports worldwide border security system of systems. The job owner shall primarily serve within the Integrated Product Team (Integrated Systems) as IVV engineer for Border Security systems/products testing. Furthermore, youwill be responsible for the technical specifications, elaboration and maintenance of the system tests as well as configuration, integration and verification of the product or system; additionally responsible to support the design, assembly and maintenance of the test and demo platforms (Hardware, SW and power related).
Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Leading the development of a set of work packages for a system, subsystem equipment or a technical domain to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements and program cost and schedule needs
· Responsible for assigned engineering deliverables, schedule, cost, quality and risk management aspects for the delegated scope of Work on System Of Interest Level 1 downwards
· Ensuring on-quality, on-time and on-cost delivery of the system, subsystem or product covered by the delegated scope of work
· Continuing monitor and report progress
· Ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and engineering change managements; manage progress
· Contracting suppliers within the scope of work in coordination with the project management
· Specific Activities within the System IV&V team of IPT; Requirements engineering (e.g., Traceability methodology, Requirements Management Engineering)
· Verification and Validation of requirements ( e.g., Tracing and ensuring consistency of acceptance activities at stakeholder, system and sub-system levels)
· Evaluating the ‘delta's between contract and technical implementation
· Translating the technical requirements into feasible (for validation) acceptance criteria
· Verification and Validation tests (e.g., preparing the acceptance test procedures at site and respectively system level planning and executing tests, recording the test reports, debuging and tracking defects, elaborating and updating the relevant contractual documentation)
Desired profile
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Educated to a degree level in engineering
· Several years of experience in engineering
· Experience in quality
· Experience with DOORS, Test Management tool HP Quality Center, Issue Tracking tool JIRA, Automated testing with Expecco
· Border Security engineering expertise with focus on Land Surveillance (radar/camera surveillance and tracking)
· System of system integration and validation desirable
· ISTQB (certified tester level) or similar
· Negotiation level of English; French or German skills would be a plus
