Are you looking for an internship? Would you like to discover the work of a manufacturing engineer? Then apply now! We look forward to you joining us as an intern (m/f) in our Mechanical Systems Installation Technologies group (35 hours/week, flexi-time).

Duration: 6 months

As an intern you will acquire an in-depth insight into the Mechanical Systems Installation Technologies group. You will get involved in the Additive Layer Manufacturing (a.k.a. 3D Printing) Business and get the opportunity to gain experience in the flieds of Manufacturing Engineering (Central, Plant, Units); Engineering (Systems Installation, Material & Processes) and Production (Hamburg).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your exciting tasks:

·  Manage the qualification project of new machine(s), handling both the technical aspects as well as the project leadership (Plastic Filament technology)
·  Assess current machines industrial performance and manage their delta-qualification (following modification / relocation)
·  Maintain and strengthen the bonds with and between Production and Engineering teams
·  Supervise the machine transfer from Hamburg plant to the Zentrum für Angewandte Luftfahrtforschung (ZAL)

Required skills

You offer:

·  Enrolled student within Aerospace Engineering, General Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Project Management or similar field of study
·  Work experience in the aerospace industry
·  Good knowledge of MS-Office applications
·  German: fluent
·  English: fluent

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
