Intern (d/f/m) - Public Affairs Germany in Berlin

We are regularly asked for our views by governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, business associations and civil society. Our political activities are managed by our Public Affairs team in accordance with our company-wide compliance principles and procedures. In Germany, our team members are based in Berlin, close to the government and policymakers. They support government and institutional engagement of all 3 Airbus divisions (Airbus Commercial, Airbus Defence & Space, Airbus Helicopters). 
The successful applicant will support the development of political strategies to advance Airbus interests.

Your tasks and responsibilities

· 
ensuring the availability of company statements related to national policy in close collaboration with the Public Affairs colleagues and company internal experts, such as from: Strategy, Business Development and Communications.

· 
supporting the Public Affairs colleagues in developing and maintaining a high-quality network within the German political sphere.

· 
organising and preparing meetings between Airbus representatives and members of German administration, parliament and other public institutions.   

· 
establishing and maintaining a system for political risk analysis, monitoring and forecasting of the political environment of Germany. Developing strategies together with Public Affairs colleagues to contribute to the policy process in an effective manner.

· 
supporting the development of speech manuscripts, letters, and position and strategy papers.

· 
working with the Public Affairs colleagues on new dialogue formats in the German political sphere to contribute to the achievement of the communication strategy of this function.

Desired skills and qualifications

· 
Enrolled full-time student (d/m/w) in the area of Law, Politics, Arts, History, Social Sciences, Engineering or an equivalent field of study.

· 
First practical experience in the field of Law and/or Politics is desirable.

· 
You have knowledge of the political system and the political institutions in Germany. You are familiar with the processes in politics, e.g. law-making, decision-taking etc.

· 
You are interested in ongoing political developments and international affairs. It is a plus, if you already worked in parliament or a state institution.

· 
Your German is fluent and you speak business English.
