Duration: 3 month
Afterwards there is the possibility for writing a final Thesis.
The internship is placed within the Engineering / Flight Physics / Loads & Aeroelastics domain. The loads department prepares and validates mechanical and aeroelastic mathematical simulation models for subsequent overall aircraft loads calculation and analysis. The calculation of aircraft loads is the primary step in translating non-specific design data (aerodynamics, mass, structure, controls laws) into specific design data i.e. loads for airframe design and certification. The work is related to manoeuvre and gust loads acting on aircraft in operation.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your exciting tasks:
Specific Topics to be worked on stem from the area modelling, simulation, data analysis, in-service support and documentation:
· Compilation of loads monitoring criteria for A320/A330/A380/A350 from various sources, including Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Airbus In-Service Support
· Comparison of different Loads Monitoring approaches and assessment of their capabilities
· Evaluation of in-Service and flight test data
· Documentation of study results in English including documentation of developed software
Required skills
You offer:
· Enrolled student within Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar field of study
· good programming skills within Matlab, C, or Fortran
· English: advanced
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
