As an intern you will acquire an overview of the Future Projects Office at Airbus, where the department “Cabin and Fuselage” is responsible for the definition and integration of fuselage related items with respect to overall aircraft design and the corresponding analysis of competitor's aircraft. Three main areas have to be covered:
1. Configuration (e.g. geometrical definitions on component level; integration of other components on aircraft level)
2. Conceptual Design and Evaluation (e.g. tracking of geometrical targets; industrialization/manufacturing; structural/cabin/systems concepts)
3. Operation (e.g. airport infrastructure; aircraft operation on ground; cabin operation)

Tasks & accountabilities

Your exciting tasks:

·  Creation of aircraft models in a department specific software environment
·  Conceptual development of fuselage and cabin architectures for future aircraft
·  Support on running projects: Research, knowledge capturing, analysis, presentation preparation and reports

Required skills

You offer:

·  Enrolled student within Aerospace Engineering, General Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aircraft design or similar field of study
·  Very good MS-Office skills are required (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
·  2D/3D CAD knowledge would be a plus
·  German: Negotiation level
·  English: Advanced knowledge

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
