Internship in the structures test department (d/f/m)

Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.
Finkenwerder
Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Physical testing is an important part of the aircraft development and certification. At structures test we ascertain the mechanical suitability of the airframe structure, by subjecting aircraft parts to representative loads and measuring the reaction.
You will be supporting the setup of those tests, performing test campaigns and document test results. Besides getting an insight in the airframe development process, you will also have the opportunity to work on very recent aircraft projects.
Desired skills and qualifications
● Enrolled full-time student in the area of aerospace engineering or an equivalent field of study.
● First practical experience in the field of testing is desirable.
● Fluent in English, basic German.
● Programming in common program languages (C, python etc.)
● Setup and integration of electronic components
