Job Description:
Flammability Reduction Systems are currently needed to reduce fuel tank flammability as per applicable A/C regulations. They are continuously enhanced to adapt technology to the status of the art as well as to secure that latest technology is embodied on new platforms.
Future Flammability Reduction System need to be adapted and optimized to the specific aircraft platforms and current and future applications, exploring the potential of current and new technologies for flammability reduction as so as proper monitoring in preparation for upcoming Zero Emission challenge.

For the Flammability Reduction Systems Team, we are looking for an Air & Thermal Engineer (f/m) with the mission to contribute and support the in-service work and development of current and future Flammability Reduction Systems.
The successful candidate will join a small and multidisciplinary team allowing the possibility of learning and personal grown on different areas: A/C Development, Continuous Support, Airlines in service support, R&T for future Airbus developments, Zero Emission challenges, ...
You will be responsible for dedicated tasks within the perimeter of system development of the Flammability Reduction System: definition, development and integration of system architectures and equipment to match the required safety, technical and performance level according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers.
You will be in contact with system suppliers, ground and flight test teams, as well as stakeholders from multiple organizations.

You will assist all modifications that become necessary into service and beyond.
·
You will participate in international, integrated project teams for development and certification of A/C systems, and definition of interfaces to other A/C systems.
·
You will participate in corresponding equipment and system reviews, and you will be responsible to ensure deliverables and outcomes to both direct reporting lines and the respective project responsible.
·
You will participate on R&T activities to understand and develop future technologies to support new Airbus technologies (future hydrogen A/C).
·
You will be part of a team in continued exploration of new ways of working with specific focus on people development, wellbeing and efficiency.

We are looking for candidates with different skill experience into the following areas:
·
Master's degree in Engineering or similar qualifications
·
Work experience in System Engineering
·
Fluido-mechanical background (system performance analysis capability)
·
Main field of experience and knowledge focused on Air Systems
·
Matlab Simulink experience and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and software integration and validation through simulation is a plus
·
Work experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a plus
·
Control and Monitoring background
·
Knowledge in SW controls
·
Knowledge in Data Analytics is a plus
·
Knowledge of the engineering processes: Requirements Engineering & Management, Functional / Logical / Physical Design, Integration, Verification & Validation, Multi-Disciplinary Engineering, Coupled Simulation
·
Experience in technical (international) coordination would be appreciated
·
Good interpersonal and presentation skills (with business customers, internal and/or external, with Extended Enterprise subcontractors, etc.)
·
Good communication skills and ability to work within an international team
·
Ability to abstract problems and issues in analytical way
·
Ability to propose solutions and to challenge alternatives based on concrete business model in a constructive and respectful way.
·
Fluency in English is mandatory, Spanish or French or German is appreciated
·
Team-oriented mindset with high communication skills, open mindset and willingness
·
Fluid/Hydromechanics &Thermal Development Engineering: Design, specify, qualify and certify for Fluid, Hydro mechanic and Thermal Sub-system / Equipment / Component / Module considering the following factors: Safety, Quality, Systems Performance, Cost, Environmental, Operational and Industrial Requirements.
