Duration: 6 months

You will write your final thesis in the department System Engineering, which is in charge of the design of hydraulic equipment for all Airbus programs in service and for future aircraft. The objective of the group is to specify and develop new and support existing hydraulic systems and components. For the benefit of Airbus and the Airline customers the team fulfills the targets performance, safety and maintainability. You will support the department in finding a technical solution for a potential design optimization for a future application.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your exciting topic:
Your final Thesis is within the field of Hydraulic Systems Engineering. The target is to find an alternate technology of pressurizing a hydraulic Reservoir. Therefor you will determine, study and compare different possibilities. The overall integration of the new technology shall be compared to existing methods on the fleet. You will also compare factors like cost, weight, safety, system performance, installation and maintainability to determine the most favorable solution. The chosen solution shall then be deeper investigated and impacts on one chosen Aircraft series shall be quantified.

You offer:

·  Enrolled student (m/f) Mechanical Engineering, Engineering/Avionics, Engingeering/Systems, Engineering/Aerospaceor or similar field of study
·  Good Basics of Engineering knowledge (fluid mechanics, thermodynamics or hydraulics)
·  Advanced MS-Office skills are required
·  English: fluent/negotiation level
·  German: good skills would be a plus

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
