As a FHS transport support specialist, you will be a key focal point in supplier relationships in a complex environment: 4PL, 3PLs and FHS, with a primary focus on our 3PL partners. You'll proactively identify and mitigate operational blockers, ensuring seamless execution and strategic alignment across all transport and supply chain functions. This includes active participation in critical operational review meetings with 3PLs and internal stakeholders.
This pivotal role requires a highly proactive and analytical senior team member who can drive cross-functional collaboration to significantly enhance overall supplier performance and transport efficiency.
You will be instrumental in highlighting and suggesting continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices that drive operational excellence across 3PL from an operational point of view.
1. Internal governance:
1a. Stakeholder Liaison & Issue Resolution:

Lead as the primary liaison between global Transport operations and Transport supplier management teams, ensuring seamless communication and strategic alignment on all operational matters.

Proactively identify, log, and drive the resolution of complex Transport operational issues and action items, acting as the critical bridge to prevent blockers and ensure uninterrupted flow across the supply chain.

Serve as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all 3PL supplier managers, both locally and globally (e.g., Toulouse), translating operational needs into actionable strategies and vice-versa.
1b. Continuous Improvement & Initiatives:
·
Identify and escalate continuous improvement initiatives with the FHS (or relevant) transport suppliers manager, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver measurable business value.

Actively integrate and operationalize the global transport supplier management strategy within daily operations, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to best practices across all operational touchpoints.
1c. Operational Excellence & Knowledge Management:

Oversee the comprehensive organization and ongoing maintenance of all critical 3PL transport operational documentation, including working instructions, SOP, user guides, training materials, and master data.

Establish best practices for knowledge management to ensure operational clarity, consistency, and scalability across the organization.
2. Operational:
2a. Strategic Transport & 3PL Performance Management:
·
Own the end-to-end resolution of critical transport issues, including complex shipment discrepancies and systemic quality challenges with 3PL partners, driving root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions across the network.
· Act as the primary Transport operational point of escalation for all topics related to 3PL, providing strategic insights and leading cross-functional efforts to resolve high-impact issues.
2b. Proactive Supplier Engagement & Optimization:

Establish and enforce Work Instruction for streamlined and effective communication with 3PL suppliers, ensuring proactive engagement, timely resolution of inquiries, and continuous performance feedback loops.

Lead initiatives to enhance overall supplier accountability and operational efficiency, fostering a partnership approach to achieve mutual goals.
2c. Advanced Risk Mitigation & Operational Resilience:
·
Develop and execute comprehensive risk management strategies for transport operations with dedicated 3PLs, addressing potential supply chain disruptions, chronic delays, and critical supplier dependencies issues (example IT issues).
·
Design, implement, and regularly test robust contingency plans to ensure business continuity and resilience against unforeseen operational challenges.
3. Ad hoc task related:
·
Facilitate process improvement and develop requests for new functionality of software used within the business.
·
Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company
