SUMMARY

This position is to manage the NAVBLUE System Integration Testing team in Bangkok. To support the activity from local to global level. Typically operating with significant autonomy in a transnational environment, this role has accountability for planning the future needs and operational requirements of the System Integration Testing function.

The System Integration Testing team will be gathering IT testers and IT technical Specialists. The aim of this team is to implement, update and run tests on the interfaces between components of the different NAVBLUE products. The team will also be involved for some products on reliability, scalability and deployability for some NAVBLUE products.

The activity will be driven by the developments done by Software Factory teams working in SAFe methodology in different Agile Release Trains. Based on Program Increment (PI) content, the System Integration Team will coordinate with Agile development teams to  get inputs on changes on interfaces that will need to be tested. The main responsibility of the team will be to implement and run the interface testing between components. 

The  System Integration Testing team manager reports to Integration and DevOps Chapter Lead of the Navblue Software Factory.

Responsibilities:

· 
Manager of the team following HR cadence

· 
Acts as local manager for operational team

· 
Monitor the team activity (tests preparation, tests execution). In particular, ensure the inputs are received with the right level of maturity to ensure the integration activities are on track.

· 
Proactively resolve complex issues within the System Integration Testing specialisation, taking a broader perspective and thinking beyond existing solutions, assumptions, or current knowledge of sophisticated areas.

· 
Serve as a key advisor on integration testing, applying knowledge of advanced strategies that can be deployed within the function to improve product reliability, scalability, and deployability.

· 
Ensure cross team communication (escalation if inputs not received, synchronisation meeting with Agile team, testing strategy communication, …)

· 
Ensure that the deliverables of the team are at the right level and that the team has the right means to perform the activity.

· 
Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company

· 
Ensure that the Interface Requirement Dossier and associated matrix are up to date.
Ensure that Synchronization meetings with agile teams are happening and followed.
Support the team in Control Change Boards Meetings to scope the defects seen during integration testing

Must possess in-depth knowledge of their own specialised area (System Integration Testing), or demonstrate a broad breadth of knowledge across related IT and software development disciplines.

·

Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, technical aspects of architecture and integration to management, clients and staff

Qualification & Professional skills

·  Master of Science Degree in software engineering or a related field 
·  5-10 years’ experience working in a software development environment. With demonstrating clear progression into leadership.
·  Proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years) in a people management role, with full management authority or any relevant experiences.
·  Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, forecasting future operational requirements, and serving as an advisor on technical strategies.
·  Proven ability to resolve complex, ambiguous issues by taking a broader perspective and thinking beyond existing solutions.
·  Experience operating with a high-degree of autonomy in a transnational, transdivisional, or distributed global team environment.
·  Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), containerization with Docker, and monitoring/logging tools
·  Proficiency in English spoken and written
·  Cloud platform experience (AWS platform experience an asset)allowing the understanding of microservices architecture and environment
·  Experience developing software with C#, python, and AWS (or other cloud service providers)
·  Hands-on experience with RESTful/SOAP API design, development, optimization, testing, and security
