Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters in Donauwoerth is looking for a Mission Management - Data Links, Battlefield Management Systems and new technologies (d/f/m) for the department Mission Management.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:
- Collecting the requests and needs coming from the different projects and programs;
- Participating in offers and quotation process;
- Defining validation and verification strategy for certification basis;
- Interacting closely with Avionics Mission, HMI, Architects and TDMS FDR/SDR;
- Present function design and defend AH position before airworthiness authorities (e.g. EASA, FAA…);
- Proposing new technologies and solutions
- Writing functional, performance and design specifications for that functions/systems/equipment in order to fulfil the program expectations.
- Use of new specification techniques/languages/tools like MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) or SysML (System Modelling Language), as well as requirements management (e.g. DOORS) should be promoted and used as much as possible.
- Participating in RFI (Request For Information) and/or RFQ (Request For Quotation) processes towards select Supplier(s) by writing RS (Requirements Specifications), SOW (Statement Of Work) and DAS (Delivery And Schedule); then analysing their answers in order to select the best offer;
-Following-up Suppliers activities in order to ensure deliveries of functions/systems/equipment in accordance with the specifications. Participation in reviews and verification and validation, as well as qualification activities;
- Participating in meetings, forum, conference to present and promote the Data Link approach and strategy, e.g.: H/C product conferences (e.g. Tiger, NH90), PSS days, innovation days;
- Capture AH Data Link history/background/knowledge in HTech, to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable knowledge in this domain.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Completed studies in the field of Avionics Engineering
- Maximum knowledge about Tactical Data Links (L11, L16, L22, VMF…), Broadband Data Links, C2DL, BMS (Battlefield Management Systems) and MuM-T.
- Knowledge about new emerging and disruptive technologies
- Knowledge about TDMS (Tactical Data Management System)
- Experience and capability to manage [international] Suppliers, including major Suppliers
- Know-How within the Microsoft Programs
- DOORS would be appreciated
- Ability to work in ACRUM / AGILE methodology
- Reporting (spontaneous, accurate, executive summary)
- Capability to influence and to federate groups of different disciplines
- Capability to think “outside the box”
- Global approach (esprit de synthèse)
- Solid and recognised technical, knowledge, experience and background in H/C Avionics
- Solid operational knowledge, mainly in the Mission domain
- Capability to think functional
- Capability to write smart and robust specifications using up-to-date technics
- Capability to write smart and robust SOW
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory documentation (e.g. DO-257, DO-309, DO-200...)
- Skills in Aeronautics and Avionics would be appreciated
- International experience would be appreciated
