In the complex and highly regulated world of commercial aviation, digital product development is a critical function. A software engineer at Airbus acts as the technical creator of the product along with others in the team under the guidance of the team lead and product manager. 

A position for software engineer - developer has become available in the Enterprise Architecture - products team within Airbus Commercial. 

Primary Responsibilities:

· 
Responsible for designing and building solutions for Airbus that involve:

· 
Data engineering & integration

· 
Data analysis & visualization

· 
Application development within Skywise Framework

· 
Working closely with the tech lead, Product Manager & Product Owners to understand processes, capture requirements and work on solving business problems by leveraging the data generated throughout the business process

· 
Design, build, and maintain robust analytics modules on the Palantir Skywise platform

· 
Engineer scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and model data from diverse enterprise sources (cost management, application lifecycle, cybersecurity, etc.)

· 
Implement the complex business logic that powers our strategic KPIs and partner with the Tech Lead to build intuitive, user-facing visualizations.

· 
Contribute to the "industrialization" of our platform by improving CI/CD processes, strengthening data governance, and implementing robust operational monitoring.

· 
Develop & Deploy AI/ML Models: Evolve our core Python-based Anomaly Detection engine using statistical and machine learning techniques. You will design, train, and deploy predictive models to forecast enterprise costs, identify data quality issues, and surface strategic risks before they escalate.

· 
Drive Intelligent Features: Go beyond reporting to build the platform's intelligent features. This includes developing models for "what-if" scenario analysis, resource optimization recommendations, and contributing to the R&D of our proprietary algorithms like the Non-Dilution Score (NDS).

· 
Actively participate in our hybrid Agile-Scrum methodology, working closely with the Product Manager and Tech Lead to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver value every sprint.

· 
Troubleshooting application issues and handling incidents / requests on the same.

· 
Responsible for providing support on the developed tools

· 
Assemble and edit source code repositories to develop a software stack for the product needs.

· 
Coordinates the functional and technical integration.

· 
Supports the technical lead with the test strategy, scripts, scenarios and monitors test execution.

Qualification & Experience:

Required:

· 
A Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field.

· 
Knowledge of the version control tools like gitlab/github

· 
Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, and application development.

· 
Proficient in SQL and a deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.

· 
Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines on a major data platform (e.g., Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake) or cloud service (AWS, Azure, GCP)

· 
Should be comfortable in connecting with various data sources ranging from CSV to DBMS(mongo DB, SQL Server, Redshift, etc..) and generating various formats of reports & dashboards for different stakeholders

· 
Hands on in data analytics

· 
A strong team player and co-work with peers easily

· 
Following of best coding practices and sustainable development practices

· 
Hands on experience in test plan and test cases creation

· 
Worked in agile environment (SAFe, Scrum) and comfortable to deliver within a sprint

· 
Ready learner and adaptable to new technologies basis the organization direction

Desired:

· 
Direct experience with Palantir Foundry / Skywise is a significant advantage.

· 
Familiarity with front-end data visualization libraries or BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Looker, Tableau, or JavaScript libraries like Chart.js ).

· 
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Docker).

· 
Good written and verbal communication

· 
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for tackling complex data challenges.
