As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 4 to 6 months maximum.

We are looking for a Power Electronics Internship (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in. You will be located in the Electrics & Electromagnetic department of Airbus CR&T Toulouse.
This internship is to be filled from Q1 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility).
You will be joining the department « Electrics and Electromagnetics Expertise department in the Central Research & Technology » which activities include Research on Technological bricks related to hybrid Electric propulsion of Aircraft.
The objective of the internship is the development of concepts a power converter to drive Electrical motors and compatible with harsh environment inside aircraft like thermal, ElectroMagnetic Compatibility constraints.
· Tasks and Responsibilities :
You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.
Your main activities will include:
- Participate in the development of power converter test benches under development in Airbus projects,
- Participate in the design of electronic control boards for power converters,
- Participate in thermal modelling of power equipment in order to optimize its thermal management,
- Participate in the development of a bench of disturbance measurements conducted for power equipment,
· Required skills :
You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5, in Electrical engineering or equivalent, with specialisation in Electrical distribution and Electronic design and you obtain following competences:
- Strong competence in power electronics: Analog, digital and power electronics,
- Microelectronics (Wide Band Gap technologies desired),
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC),
- Electromagnetism,
- Numerical methods,
- Mastery of EMC measuring devices,
- Programming of test bench control software (including Python, Matlab),
- English : ADVANCE
