Job Description
Fleet Technical Support Engineer
MISSION
You will join the Customer Care and Technical Support team as a Fleet Technical Support Engineer.
The main mission of the Customer Technical Support team is to provide ATR aircraft operators with efficient proactive support to optimize their aircraft availability.
The Customer Technical Support team is a multidisciplinary team of engineers who represent the main technical professions within ATR.
You will contribute to the early identification of product improvements based on the analysis of recurrent in service events, in view of maximizing aircraft availability and reducing the impact of technical issues on airline operations.
You will ensure technical interaction with customers, as well as internal coordination, for the processing and follow-up of technical issues affecting the fleet.
You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program and Procurement departments and will coordinate within the Customer Care and Technical Support Directorate to ensure the preparation and consolidation of technical support required to fulfill customer expectations.
You will manage the Technical Support Knowledge Base and will drive internally a timely resolution of fleetwide issues, with the support of relevant core team members.
You will be part of the team in charge of the preparation and delivery of the periodical Tech Connection WebEx’s that keep ATR operators updated on fleet technical issues resolution progress and improvements on technical support matters.
You will be based in Toulouse. You could be required to travel.
ACTIVITIES
Run the In-Service Issues Assessment and Monitoring process in order to identify recurring technical subjects that require specific investigation regarding airworthiness, design, reliability or quality.
Establish the Top Fleet Issues list and participate to the definition of mitigation and resolution actions, in cooperation with Program, Engineering and Procurement Directorates.
Coordinate all the activities to ensure an accurate governance of the Customer Care and Technical Support Knowledge Database.
Coordinate the contributions of the Engineering, Quality, Program and Procurement departments to ensure an efficient deployment of technical support actions towards ATR operators.
Contribute to Operator Conferences and Tech Connection WebEx’s preparation.
Visit customers on a case-by-case basis to discuss in service issues requiring medium to long-term resolution plans.
PROFILE
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- Diploma BAC +5 in aeronautics or mechanics (or equivalent level)
- Early professional experience in the Aviation Industry
- Previous experience in customer support is appreciated.
- Good knowledge of ATR aircraft systems and structures.
- Good knowledge of aircraft technical documentation
- Good skills in the usage of MS Office package
- Team spirit
- Good sense of organization and coordination skills
- Autonomy
- Excellent communication skills
- Good adaptability and creativity
- English and French language: negotiating level
