A vacancy for an Aircraft Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

The successful applicant will join the Aircraft Systems Engineering Center of Competence. The organization responsibility is the design, integration and certification of a wide range of Aircraft Systems for all Airbus Military Aircraft programs.

Vacancies are open for early career Engineers (or bachelors with equivalent Science studies) within the Airbus Defence & Space Engineering Organization in Getafe.

Whether working on Avionics, Communication Systems, AirtoAir Refueling or in many other Aircraft Systems development activities under the responsibility of the organization;, you will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team, working in a motivating and challenging international environment; which will provide interesting learning opportunities for you.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
·  Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
·  Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.
·  Work closely sharing both industrial and functional design view, from the very early stages of the design through the serial production phase and up to the in service life of the product (whole product lifecycle), working in close collaboration between the Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and any other disciplines involved throughout the whole product lifecycle.
·  Understand the organization, infrastructure, constraints and limitations of program industrial planning.
·  Understand global systems/products and their interdependencies during industrialization phase.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering
·  Experience in Systems  Engineering
·  English advanced
·  Spanish will be valuable
