As the Cryopropulsion Test Engineer (m/f), you will be part of a multinational team in charge of developing an advanced superconducting and cryogenic powertrain to enable high power electric propulsion systems for aircraft application.

You are passionate about aeronautics, sciences and technologies, have a strong technical background and like to make and test yourself breakthrough technologies on concrete demonstrations? You like difficult challenges and are the type of person who thinks about “how things can be done” rather than “if they can be done”? Come and join the UPNEXT CRYOPROP test team, dedicated to supporting the demonstration of a revolutionary propulsion concept.

Missions:

· 
Test Bench Management : Develop, commission, and provide in-service support for the cryo-zone test means, including coordination with test facility owners and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) management.

· 
Test Preparation & Execution : Prepare cryogenic and electrical test setups as requested by the CRYOPROP work packages. Run tests autonomously and challenge test requests from the design office.

· 
Safety & Compliance : Guarantee necessary training for people accessing the test benches and support risk analysis for all test benches within the perimeter.

· 
Reporting & Expertise : Provide comprehensive test reports, define test bench capabilities and limitations, including metrology aspects, and represent UpNext's interests to the cryogenic test facility owner.

Test Bench Scope (all located in TOULOUSE) Includes: 

· 
cryogenic thermal fluctuation test benches, 

· 
cryogenic helium loop (including a high-power electrical inverter), 

· 
cryogenic characterization vacuum test bench

· 
cryogenic compatible shaker.

This job comes with a limited contract (CDI-C) linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator - estimated end date - End of December 2026.

Your Boarding Pass

· 
Diploma in Electrical, Energetics or Thermodynamics Engineering

· 
First experience in cryogenic, cryogenic system design or vacuum testing is mandatory  (an internship experience is very valuable).

· 
Experience in electrical testing

· 
Good team spirit and communication skills
