1. Summary Information

Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Department: Public Engagement, Commercial Development - Retail
Hours: 40 hours per week including lunch breaks - 5 out of 7 rolling rota including weekend working

2. Role Summary

The retail back of house operation supports all of the retail commercial outlets including on-site shops, pop-up shops & e-commerce. Processing all stock deliveries, shop and customer orders in a timely fashion to maximise profit and availability to visitors at all times.
Working as part of a team of motivated colleagues, passionate about retail, logistics and customer service, the role includes:
- Booking and processing stock deliveries from suppliers.
- Fulfilment of shop and website customer orders.
- Upkeep of stock locations and inventory management.
- Opportunity to obtain Fork Lift Truck and Electric Pallet Truck certification
- Planned move to a purpose-built off site location in 2018 - great opportunity to be involved from the start at an exciting period of growth for the business

3. Role competencies (requirements)

1. Minimum of two GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) in English & Mathematics.
2. Experience of working in a busy commercial warehouse environment
3. Familiarity with Cybertills or similar Stock Management Systems
4. Good communication skills - Telephone and E-mail
5. Passionate about customer service
6. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook and Excel.)
7. Counterbalance Forklift Truck certification an advantage though full training will be offered
8. Good Understanding of Health and Safety at Work
9. Able to prioritize work in a fast paced environment
