My client based in Stoke on Trent is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator based in their offices in Stoke on Trent

You will be responsible for training, mentoring and supervising existing and new volunteers, whilst ensuring they have the appropriate support to perform their roles.

You will need to be highly motivated, efficient and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Clear and confident in your communication, excellent admin support skills

Ideally you will have experience in working with volunteers, however, HR or Recruitment experience could be transferable.

The main responsibilities include:

- Generate the appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the charity

- Ensure there is appropriate support and training for volunteers

- Ensure that training, supervision and appraisal records for volunteers are up to date

- Enhance the professional development of volunteers

- Assist in promoting volunteering through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns

- Interview volunteers and ensure they are appropriately matched to positions

- Mentor, monitor and motivate volunteers

- Celebrate volunteering by nominating volunteers for awards

- Organise profile raising events

- Manage budgets and resources
