Our client, a well known and successful organisation are looking to recruit a Video Producer to start ASAP . The role is for a period of 6 months. Salary: £19 ph.

Purpose of the job:

The Media Specialist will have responsibility for all aspects of media development and delivery.

This is broken down into 3 main areas:

1. Pre-production
2. Production
3. Post-production

The post supports the wider objectives of the Edtech Lab to become a leading centre of excellence in delivering online and blended learning programmes. This may involve working on cross-college activities and working flexibly to meet requirements, including some filming on location.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Work closely with Learning Designers and Faculty to develop media content and storyboards for online and blended modules.
2. Provide instructional media insight, to determine the best media approach for subject matter.
3. Work with academics to develop scripts and clear narratives before the production process.

Production:
1. Responsibility for the media suite setup and readiness for filming. This includes, lights, props, equipment, scripts, autocue, and so on.
2. Ensure all stakeholders are briefed on their expectations during production, including Faculty, Instructional Designers to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.

Post-production:
1. Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
2. Review shooting script and raw material to ensure consistency and continuity from
scripts/storyboard.
3. Create rough and final cuts, adding dialogues, graphics and effects that follow style guidelines, ensuring consistency across modules.
4. Ensure the reliability and consistency of content produced, following the overall approach from the Edtech Lab.

Essential:
1. Strong educational background (degree level), preferably in the fields of film studies, cinematography and/or Education.
2. Demonstrable interest and enthusiasm for the use of media technology in education
3. Significant experience media pre/post and production, with proven knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
4. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio, including a solid experience with editing software packages (e.g. Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut).
5. Creative mind and storytelling skills.
