Trainee Engineer �17-�18k.
A fantastic opportunity for a trainee engineer to join a well established company within the North West.
The ideal candidate will have A-Level in Maths & IT, engineering or construction.
Job Summary: To assist in the analysis and processing of survey and testing data.
Main Activities:
*To assist as required with the preparation of visual condition survey reports
*To assist as required with the preparation of safety barrier reports
*Assist with route planning for SCRIM & deflectograph surveys
*Undertake site surveys
*Assist with the provision of appropriate responses to customer issues.
*Understand and implement the companies Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
*Understand and implement the companies processes and procedures
*Promote innovation
*Encourage feedback and drive continual improvement.
*Full training will be provided.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
*A Level's to include mathematics
*Full driving licence.
Experience and Competencies:
*Understanding of the Highways and Transportation sector.
*Knowledge of Highways England's standards, systems and business processes.
*Knowledge of specifications relating to highway materials
*Understanding of highway asset deterioration.
*Experience of working in a team.
*Good IT skills including word excel plus database management and data manipulation.
*AutoCAD and GIS experience would be desirable.
*Basic knowledge and competency in relation to Health & Safety and Environmental management and responsibilities.
