Are you a skilled and passionate Testing Lead looking for a new challenge? Our client, a leading housing association, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their dynamic team! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and drive the success of their testing activities.

Role: Testing Lead

Salary: £44,999 - £49,296 per annum (based on experience)

Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5pm, Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm)

Location: Sunderland (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

What You'll Be Doing:

Collaborating with the IT, Business Improvement and Change, and Business Teams to develop and agree on the approach to IT and Business Process testing, including clearly defining roles and responsibilities.
Taking the lead in delivering a diverse portfolio of testing activities for both project and business-as-usual work, ensuring alignment with the Group's testing approach.

What You'll Bring:

Previous hands-on experience as a Test Lead, working closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, testers, and business stakeholders.
Proven experience in managing large-scale testing projects for websites and applications.
Knowledge and experience in Performance testing, API testing, and cross-browser testing.
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
Track record of delivering high-quality testing activities within defined timelines and to the required governance and standards.
Ability to foster a positive team atmosphere and promote collaboration.

Skills and Knowledge:

Broad knowledge of software development lifecycles (waterfall/agile), cloud technologies, functional and non-functional test methodologies, and their intersections with the testing lifecycle.
Deep understanding of test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with test management and defect management tools.
Demonstrable knowledge and application of various testing approaches in both business and IT contexts.
Proficiency in project management methodologies.
Excellent facilitation and influencing skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications and Training:

Degree qualified (or equivalent).
Recognised testing qualifications such as ISTQB or CSTE, or equivalent work-based experience.
