To provide administrative support to the Ethnic Sales department whilst learning the business, our areas of expertise and the markets we operate in. Once these areas have been mastered and the necessary improvements and efficiencies have been implemented, the next stage is to combine the administrative and organisational function with a more telesales role.

Previous experience within the food industry would be an advantage.

INITIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support the Ethnic Sales department within their job functions, this will encompass but is not limited to the following:

·  Dealing with existing and new customer enquiries both by telephone and email

·  Processing, confirming and coordinating customer orders

·  Updating and maintaining customer records and databases

·  Maintaining accurate price lists on ERP system in accordance with contractual pricing

·  Monitoring departmental debtors and, where necessary, chasing overdue debt

·  Producing regular sales and stock run out analysis

·  Preparing reports, documents and letters

·  Arranging samples and coordinating delivery to customers

·  Diary management including arranging meetings for the sales team

·  Identifying and implementing improvements and efficiencies to existing processes

·  Providing cover for and / or additional support to other departments where required

ONGOING ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Producing and distributing regular price lists for all customers

·  Researching, identifying and targeting potential new customers within a predetermined market sector

·  Building strong working relationships with both existing and prospective customer accounts

·  Understanding customer needs and market trends and reporting on them to the purchasing department

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

·  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person, in writing and over the phone

·  Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and autonomously

·  Highly organised with a proactive and flexible approach to work

·  Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

·  Work towards and meet both internal and external deadlines

·  Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under pressure

·  In depth working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and able to quickly learn to use in house ERP system

·  Willingness to understand and meet customer requirements
