£8.01ph - £9.12ph after 12 weeks

Adecco are currently recruiting for an experienced switchboard telephonist to join the team of our client based within the health care sector
Main duties of the role will be:
· Taking calls from the public who are wanting to be connected to different departments/Medical Secretaries within the hospital
· All alarms go back to the switchboard which include panic alarms, blood fridge alarms, cardiac arrest alarms etc. Contacting the relevant team to go to where ever the cardiac arrest is happening. Also responsible for fire alarms, summoning the hospital fire team and the fire brigade. Internal pages will also go through the switchboard so they will need to page medics to go to various departments/surgery etc
The role is fast paced and the suitable candidate would have to be able to work well under pressure. There is a lot of specific procedures to follow on the alarms side. The candidate should be level headed and able to work well in busy situations.
This is initially for 6 months and training will be provided for the first month.
This position guarantee's 2 days a week, sometimes 3 or 4 days may be required.
A basic DBS check will be required at a cost of £35 to the candidate or if the candidate is part of the update service this can be accepted at no charge.
