SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR REQUIRED FOR A 2 MONTH TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT STARTING ASAP. £8.24 PER HOUR. BASED IN SWINDON TOWN CENTRE.
We're looking for a truly customer focussed person to join our Switchboard team in Swindon. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of excellent customer service, helping to identify our insured, agents/brokers, claimants and perspective customers needs, to be able to effectively navigate calls and emails to the appropriate teams/handlers
Key Responsibilities:
· Answering a comprehensive range of calls and emails regarding our products and services, with the majority of callers needing to be questioned to accurately determine the team or handler.
· Demonstrate a broad knowledge of products and procedures to be able to provide world class customer service skills.
· Follow procedures to ensure adherence to the relevant data protection and compliance policies.
· Identify and escalate customer issues in special or emergency situations, escalate feedback to continuously improve our customer relationships and service delivery.
· Achieve targets to maintain quality & productivity standards.
· Has flexibility to work varying hrs within an 8.30am to 6.30pm working day
Skills Required:
As a Telephonist you will need excellent communication and customer service skills. You will need to be service minded, able to cope with varying workloads and remain calm under pressure.
- Switchboard operation and/or call centre experience preferred
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Cope with varying call volumes and pressures
- Sound customer skills
- Good literacy skills
- PC skills
- Good listening and questioning skills to accurately place calls into the business
- Good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with people at all levels
- Ability work in a controlled environment
- Reliability and excellent time keeping
The vacancy is based within a very short walking distance of Swindon bus station and train station, with an on-site Coffee Shop and Restaurant. 20 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays and after 12 weeks you will be entitled to an extra 2 days holiday and the possibility of joining the pension scheme if you meet certain criteria.
Working on a shift rota basis between the hours of 8.30am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday working a 35hr week then please apply.
