Sportswear Garment Technologist

Job description

A fabulous opportunity for a Garment Technologist to become part of an ever-growing manufacturer in supplier of fashion sportswear. Established in the supply for over 25 years this company is experiencing a period of growth. This has opened up an opportunity for the right candidate to gain some fantastic experience and knowledge.
The Role:
*Coordinates a wide variety of technical and quality work on garments to enable smooth fitting
*Advise on correct methods of construction, sizing and quality for the designated client to the pattern cutters, machinists and factories
*Oversee the making of fit and seal samples to ensure correct fit and quality to the designated customer standards
*Measure, check samples in preparation for fit sessions
*Attend fit sessions and/or submit for the customer to fit, and to relay fit information back to the alterations team.
*Responsible for completing and approving final specs - including correlating pattern, fabric and garment measurements
*Produce clear and concise production comments
This role would be suitable for someone who has at least 2 years previous experience of working within a fast paced supplier and a good team player with good organisational skills.
